The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

Brand New Gateway PC SX2800-03 Windows Vista Home 64bit with SP1 Intel Core2 Quad Q8200 4gigs of DDR3 for RAM Intel GMA X4500 Intergrated video (vga and hdmi outputs) 640 gig My friend just got this pc for Christmas. They were installing softwares. They must have downloaded a crappy software to get this error. The last software they installed and all the problems started after the install was iTunes. Probaly didn’t get it directly from Apple and got it from another fake website or something. OR maybe he may have visited an adult site and gotten the trojan/virus. Heck I don’t know cause the dang thing wont boot up. Here’s what I’ve tried so far…. 1. changed bios settings to boot only from hd. 2. tried booting into safe mode, it’ll restart cause it’ll get stuck right at cscdisk.dll 3. tried booting to last known good config 4. tried the “Launch Startup Repair”… that tried to repair but went straight to BSOD after 10min. I don’t even get a chance to get to the windows logo before it BSOD. Here is the error message: A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. it started a couple of weeks ago, the keyboard and touch pad stopped working, thought it must be a virus so ran scans with AVG and Avira but nothing showed, the problem seems intermittent, sometimes everything seems fine and then it all goes weired again usually starting with the curser either not responding or jumping all over the screen and sometimes disappearing altogether. I have ran C cleaner, Spy-bot and a couple of hours ago cleaned the registry with Reg-cure, apparently I had over 2000 problems, none of these made any difference. I decided to do a full recovery but when I follow the instructions and try to boot from the recovery disc it just tries to boot normally and asks for my account password which I cant enter because the keyboard ain’t working. I’ve always had no problems with getting internet on my computer. Now I can’t connect. I’ve checked and everything is plugged in. I don’t think it is a problem with the cables because I don’t get the message “Local cable disconnected”. All the other computers in my house are working fine. I think that something is wrong with the actual computer. I had a trojan (InternetSecurity2010) before that happened, maybe that has something to do with it? I’ve run spybot and malwarebytes scans and they both came up with nothing. I was on the internet (Mozilla Firefox) and I was just browsing then a message came up and said something like ‘Windows defender needs you to restart your computer to solve a problem’ so I clicked it and then it obviously restarted. I tried to log onto my user area and it took longer than usual to load up and when it finally loaded up it had a blank background and my documents, no task-bar or shortcut. The only way I got onto the internet was by going on my downloads going on Spotify and then clicking on an advert, for the past couple of days I’ve been getting warnings saying that I have a harmful virus so I clicked ‘Remove’ and it said it had gone but every hour or so it kept coming back up. Also I have Windows Vista. Sorry it’s so long :( Happy New Year :) thanks :)

i have an Dell Inspiron desktop with a wireless adapter already inside it. it was working fine until i wipe my hard drive (system recovery) because it had a virus and now i cant get it to work.i do not have the in stall disc either but i tried downloading the driver, and i went into the device manager and it had a yellow exclamation point uninstalled it but now when i restart my pc it will not pop up to install new hardware and when i go to manuelly install it it there’s like five other wireless adapters so i installed them all and it still doesn’t work. What do i do? i also dont have the CD for reinstallation, even though i DID NOT receive one when i purchased it , but it still asks for one

Okay..I’m totally a newb at this and I don’t really know much about what’s going on in my computer, but one day I was playig sims 2 and my computer shut down and restarted, and so I didn’t really make a big deal out of it until it kept happening. Then yesterday my comp started being extremely slow. I thought I had some type of virus so I tried doing a virus scan, and while waiting for that to finish I installed mAlwarebytes and got it installed but for some reason it didn’t run. So I installed adwarebot and did a scan and it showed me over 500 infected files and I removed them all. Then I tried turning off the automatic restarting thing, then suddenly I got the BSOD, saying I had the driver_irql_not_less_or_equal. And I have no idea what that means, and basically I haven’t been able to find out what the problem was because whenever I try to do I virus scan I can’t succesfully finish it wihout my comp restarting randomly.

Hi Ok my grandma got a new desktop a few weeks ago, it came with a free trial of McAfee which I installed for her no probs (have it myself at home) She already bought a different antivirus package (Bulldog?) which I was going to install when the McAfee trial was up. Anyway my little brother has been up for xmas and since there’s only a few days of the McAfee trial left thought he would install it now for her. Since then the pc goes on to the desktop and thats about it, it wont let me open anything in the controll panel and cant get on the internet. It wont even turn off so have to do it by the button! Its as if its loading up constantly but doesnt do anything at all. I’m pretty sure it’s cos of the 2 antivirus software together am I right? How do I sortr it? I wanted to go into add/remove programmes and get rid of McAfee but I cant get into it? Thanks for any advice

I am using Windows 7 Professional connected to a domain on a 2003Server. Everything is working fine except the printers. The Win 7 Pc can find the shared network printers fine, but when I try to connect it refuses to use the 64-bit drivers included with Win 7. It does search Windows Update but again with no success. I tried installing a local copy of the printer to load the drivers, but even after this I get an error meddage saying that “can’t connect to printer” with an error code. I found a solution with an HP Laserjet by installing a 64-bit driver on the server under the additional drivers tab. However I have other printers (e.g. Epson LQ-590) where there is no downloadable driver - it is an inbox driver in Windows 7. Does anyone know how to get round this problem and install the printers?

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

I’ve had my laptop for approximately two years and all of a sudden it has started to shut down constantly. I downloaded freeware to catch viruses, etc., and it cleaned my laptop up, but the problem still persists. It’s really starting to frustrate me!!!!!!! Every time I try to log on to that site, I get redirected to Google (and when I try to look up my wish list, it’s like my browser automatically replaces “metawishlist” with “google” and gives me a B.S. “not found” message). Brand New Gateway PC SX2800-03 Windows Vista Home 64bit with SP1 Intel Core2 Quad Q8200 4gigs of DDR3 for RAM Intel GMA X4500 Intergrated video (vga and hdmi outputs) 640 gig My friend just got this pc for Christmas. They were installing softwares. They must have downloaded a crappy software to get this error. The last software they installed and all the problems started after the install was iTunes. Probaly didn’t get it directly from Apple and got it from another fake website or something. OR maybe he may have visited an adult site and gotten the trojan/virus. Heck I don’t know cause the dang thing wont boot up. Here’s what I’ve tried so far…. 1. changed bios settings to boot only from hd. 2. tried booting into safe mode, it’ll restart cause it’ll get stuck right at cscdisk.dll 3. tried booting to last known good config 4. tried the “Launch Startup Repair”… that tried to repair but went straight to BSOD after 10min. I don’t even get a chance to get to the windows logo before it BSOD. Here is the error message: A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. I have Kaspersky Anti-Virus and I’ve just received a message that a trojan is loading (something like that)…when I opened kaspersky protection state it says: status -infected, Trojan program.TrojanJSagent.axt and the location is the website I visited. it started a couple of weeks ago, the keyboard and touch pad stopped working, thought it must be a virus so ran scans with AVG and Avira but nothing showed, the problem seems intermittent, sometimes everything seems fine and then it all goes weired again usually starting with the curser either not responding or jumping all over the screen and sometimes disappearing altogether. I have ran C cleaner, Spy-bot and a couple of hours ago cleaned the registry with Reg-cure, apparently I had over 2000 problems, none of these made any difference. I decided to do a full recovery but when I follow the instructions and try to boot from the recovery disc it just tries to boot normally and asks for my account password which I cant enter because the keyboard ain’t working. Any ideas

I’ve always had no problems with getting internet on my computer. Now I can’t connect. I’ve checked and everything is plugged in. I don’t think it is a problem with the cables because I don’t get the message “Local cable disconnected”. All the other computers in my house are working fine. I think that something is wrong with the actual computer. I had a trojan (InternetSecurity2010) before that happened, maybe that has something to do with it? I’ve tried Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari. Other odd things are happening too…after a few hours or so none of the applications will work (iTunes, microsoft word, etc) and a lot of the words start to disappear. Likeee, the start button at the bottom left corner doesn’t say start, it just is a green blob and when you click on it, it only shows the picture for each application. I’ve run spybot and malwarebytes scans and they both came up with nothing. I dont have any actual antivirus to run because I was in the middle of downloading Kaspersky Anti Virus when it happened and whenever I put in the code, it says that it can’t download because it can’t access the internet. Any ideas?

I was on the internet (Mozilla Firefox) and I was just browsing then a message came up and said something like ‘Windows defender needs you to restart your computer to solve a problem’ so I clicked it and then it obviously restarted. I tried to log onto my user area and it took longer than usual to load up and when it finally loaded up it had a blank background and my documents, no task-bar or shortcut. The only way I got onto the internet was by going on my downloads going on Spotify and then clicking on an advert, for the past couple of days I’ve been getting warnings saying that I have a harmful virus so I clicked ‘Remove’ and it said it had gone but every hour or so it kept coming back up. i have an Dell Inspiron desktop with a wireless adapter already inside it. it was working fine until i wipe my hard drive (system recovery) because it had a virus and now i cant get it to work.i do not have the in stall disc either but i tried downloading the driver, and i went into the device manager and it had a yellow exclamation point uninstalled it but now when i restart my pc it will not pop up to install new hardware and when i go to manuelly install it it there’s like five other wireless adapters so i installed them all and it still doesn’t work. Okay..I’m totally a newb at this and I don’t really know much about what’s going on in my computer, but one day I was playig sims 2 and my computer shut down and restarted, and so I didn’t really make a big deal out of it until it kept happening. Then yesterday my comp started being extremely slow. I thought I had some type of virus so I tried doing a virus scan, and while waiting for that to finish I installed mAlwarebytes and got it installed but for some reason it didn’t run. So I installed adwarebot and did a scan and it showed me over 500 infected files and I removed them all. Then I tried turning off the automatic restarting thing, then suddenly I got the BSOD, saying I had the driver_irql_not_less_or_equal. And I have no idea what that means, and basically I haven’t been able to find out what the problem was because whenever I try to do I virus scan I can’t succesfully finish it wihout my comp restarting randomly.

Hi Ok my grandma got a new desktop a few weeks ago, it came with a free trial of McAfee which I installed for her no probs (have it myself at home) She already bought a different antivirus package (Bulldog?) which I was going to install when the McAfee trial was up. Anyway my little brother has been up for xmas and since there’s only a few days of the McAfee trial left thought he would install it now for her. Since then the pc goes on to the desktop and thats about it, it wont let me open anything in the controll panel and cant get on the internet. It wont even turn off so have to do it by the button! Its as if its loading up constantly but doesnt do anything at all. I’m pretty sure it’s cos of the 2 antivirus software together am I right? How do I sortr it? I wanted to go into add/remove programmes and get rid of McAfee but I cant get into it? Thanks for any advice

This may be off-topic, but how about changing the theme every now and then? Maybe not if it won’t look right, but I just get tired of seeing the same thing all the time. Lately I have been doing a lot of directory submissions to build up my backlinks. I write an article and then submit it to the following sites for approval: 1. Ezinearticles.com (constanly crawled by google) 2. Goarticles.com (huge site, lots of traffic) 3. Rysite.com (tweets articles + quick indexing) 4. Articlealley.com (easy to submit to) 5. buzzle.com (has a high PR and is very popular) By submitting articles to those sites, i have recieved a lot of traffic. Especially from rysite.com because i get traffic not only from my article, but they tweet it to a following based on your keyword and as a result I get traffic from twitter as well. Hope that helps!

I am using Windows 7 Professional connected to a domain on a 2003Server. Everything is working fine except the printers. The Win 7 Pc can find the shared network printers fine, but when I try to connect it refuses to use the 64-bit drivers included with Win 7. It does search Windows Update but again with no success. I tried installing a local copy of the printer to load the drivers, but even after this I get an error meddage saying that “can’t connect to printer” with an error code. I found a solution with an HP Laserjet by installing a 64-bit driver on the server under the additional drivers tab. However I have other printers (e.g. Epson LQ-590) where there is no downloadable driver - it is an inbox driver in Windows 7. Does anyone know how to get round this problem and install the printers?

I stopped smoking over the weekend and it’s starting to make me feel crappy right now. My better half tells me I will not be able to get it done but I’m so strong about it I will be successful.
